Terms of Service
Effective September 26, 2026
1. The service
GovSentry is independent software that helps businesses discover, organize, monitor, and research public-sector contracting opportunities. GovSentry is not a government agency, is not affiliated with or endorsed by SAM.gov or the U.S. government, and does not submit bids or guarantee eligibility, awards, revenue, or contract outcomes.
2. Accounts and permitted use
You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and be authorized to act for the organization associated with your account. You may use GovSentry for lawful business research and contracting activity. You may not misuse the service, bypass access controls, scrape or resell protected product data, interfere with operations, upload malicious material, impersonate another person, or use GovSentry in violation of law or source-site terms.
3. Trials, subscriptions, cancellation, and billing
Paid plans and any trials are billed through Gumroad under the plan, price, renewal, and trial terms shown at checkout. Recurring subscriptions continue until canceled. You can cancel using the link in your Gumroad receipt or Gumroad account. Canceling prevents future renewals but does not automatically delete your GovSentry account; deleting the GovSentry account does not automatically cancel Gumroad billing.
Except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout, fees already charged are nonrefundable. We may change future pricing or plan features with reasonable notice. Changes do not alter amounts already paid for a completed billing period.
4. Public data and official records
GovSentry combines public records, procurement portals, user-supplied information, and automated analysis. Sources may change, become unavailable, publish corrections, or update on different schedules. GovSentry may contain delays, omissions, duplicates, or inaccuracies. Always confirm current status, eligibility, requirements, amendments, deadlines, and submission instructions at the official source before acting.
5. AI-assisted information
AI-generated summaries, match explanations, scores, pricing context, and recommendations are informational aids—not legal, financial, procurement, compliance, or professional advice. They may be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for reviewing the official solicitation and using qualified advisers when appropriate.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of information you submit. You grant GovSentry a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that information only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit it. Do not upload classified information, controlled unclassified information, export-controlled material, protected health information, Social Security numbers, payment-card data, or confidential information you are not authorized to share.
7. GovSentry and third-party rights
GovSentry's software, design, branding, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Government and third-party records remain subject to their respective source terms and rights. Links to third-party sites do not imply endorsement, and GovSentry does not control those services.
8. Availability and account action
We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We may restrict or terminate access for nonpayment, abuse, security risk, unlawful activity, or material violation of these terms. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GovSentry is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. GovSentry is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GovSentry's aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid GovSentry during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so these limits may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold GovSentry and its operators, contractors, and service providers harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the service, your submitted content, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person's rights.
11. Events beyond our control
GovSentry is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events reasonably beyond our control, including source-site outages or changes, internet or cloud-provider failures, government shutdowns, labor disputes, natural disasters, cyberattacks, or changes in law or platform access.
12. General terms
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any checkout terms, form the agreement governing the service. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights under these terms without our written consent; GovSentry may assign the agreement as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the service. Electronic notices may be delivered through the service or to the email address associated with your account.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them. Questions may be sent to govsentry@govsentry.ai.
