Privacy Policy

What we collect

We collect information you provide when creating and using a GovSentry account, including your name, email address, company profile, service areas, NAICS codes, certifications, opportunity preferences, saved leads, pipeline activity, alert settings, connected-email settings, and support messages.

If you opt in through the public match preview without creating an account, we save your email address and the NAICS codes, states or nationwide choice, and set-aside filters you submitted. We record your confirmation so we can contact you if free match-count updates become available. These updates are not active yet and are separate from paid alerts.

When you import or upload contracting records, we process the document or data you submit and may save the structured information extracted from it. We also process public government records and publicly available business contact information used to research and enrich opportunities. We collect standard device and usage information such as pages viewed, feature interactions, browser information, approximate location derived from an IP address, diagnostic events, and security signals.

Gumroad processes payment details. GovSentry receives subscription and transaction metadata needed to grant and manage access, but does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.

How we use information

• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve GovSentry.
• Match your company with relevant government opportunities and prepare research or AI-assisted analysis.
• Deliver alerts, account notices, requested support, and optional product or marketing messages.
• Manage subscriptions, prevent abuse, and understand product performance.

We do not sell your personal information.

Connected Gmail or Microsoft accounts

If you choose to connect Gmail or Microsoft, GovSentry receives authorization tokens, your connected email address, and permission to send messages you initiate through the product. GovSentry does not use this connection to read the contents of your mailbox. Tokens are retained while the connection is active and are removed from GovSentry when you disconnect the provider or delete your account. You may also revoke GovSentry directly from your Google or Microsoft account settings.

Documents and AI processing

Uploaded contract documents are read in memory so GovSentry can extract text and create structured records. The current document-import workflow does not intentionally retain the raw uploaded file after processing. Extracted text may be sent to xAI for analysis, and the resulting structured information may be saved in GovSentry's Supabase database.

Do not upload classified information, controlled unclassified information, export-controlled material, protected health information, Social Security numbers, payment-card data, or other information you are not authorized to share. AI-generated output may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be verified against official records.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate GovSentry. Their handling of information is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies:

Cookies and analytics

GovSentry uses required cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session security, preferences, rate limiting, and service reliability. With your permission, Google Analytics measures traffic and product use, and Sentry may record a privacy-masked replay of interface interactions to help diagnose errors. Optional analytics and replay remain disabled unless you select “Allow optional analytics.” Use the Privacy choices control on any page to change your selection. Required authentication and security technologies remain necessary for signed-in features.

Email choices

Service messages, requested opportunity alerts, deadline reminders, and security notices are transactional. Product education and promotional messages are optional and include an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing does not disable requested alerts or other essential service communications. You may also change alert delivery settings in the dashboard.

Public match-preview signups receive a confirmation email. You can use the removal link in that message or on the confirmation page to delete the email and filters saved for this future-update list.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and product information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Connected-email tokens are retained until you disconnect the provider or delete the account. Marketing preferences are retained as needed to honor an unsubscribe request. If you delete your GovSentry account, account-linked application records are deleted or de-identified according to the product's deletion workflow. De-identified opportunity-outcome and public-win information may be retained to preserve aggregate market insights without identifying you.

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information from security logs or backups, which expire on their normal schedules. Deleting a GovSentry account does not by itself cancel billing managed by Gumroad; cancel the subscription separately before deleting the account.

Your choices and security

You may review and update profile and alert information in the product. You may also request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

GovSentry is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the new effective date here.
