Government Contract Data Sources & Storage
GovSentry starts with official public procurement records, goes beyond SAM.gov to harder-to-find state and local sources, and combines those records with your company profile to make the results more useful.
Sources we use
SAM.gov
Federal solicitations, presolicitations, sources-sought notices, award notices, amendments, deadlines, set-asides, NAICS codes, and agency details.
USAspending.gov
Public award history used for market context, recipient research, comparable awards, and incumbent signals.
Grants.gov, SBIR, and federal publications
Relevant public funding, innovation, agency, and regulatory records where they can add useful context.
State and local procurement portals
Public opportunities found outside SAM.gov, including state and local sources relevant to a company’s service areas.
Customer-supplied information
Company profiles, certifications, service areas, past performance, imports, saved leads, outcomes, and alert settings.
What “beyond SAM.gov” means
The free public counter previews indexed SAM.gov matches. A paid GovSentry search can also investigate relevant state and local procurement portals using your business description and service area. Those records are additional to the SAM.gov preview and can expose less obvious opportunities that a federal-only workflow would miss.
Coverage and update timing vary by source, plan, configuration, and portal availability. A record in GovSentry is a discovery and research aid; always verify its live status and requirements at the official source.

Where information is processed
| Information | Service | How it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Accounts and product records | Supabase | Authentication, company profiles, searches, alerts, leads, pipeline, and structured outcomes. |
| Uploaded contract documents | GovSentry and xAI | The raw file is processed in memory and is not intentionally retained by the current import workflow. Extracted text may be sent to xAI; structured results may be stored in Supabase. |
| Subscription information | Gumroad | Checkout, recurring billing, receipts, cancellations, and entitlement events. GovSentry does not store full card numbers. |
| Alert and account email | Resend | Delivery of requested notifications and service messages. |
| Connected email account | Google Gmail or Microsoft Graph | Optional authorization to identify the connected address and send user-initiated messages. GovSentry does not use this connection to read mailbox contents. |
| Public solicitation and agency pages | Firecrawl | Retrieval of public web pages for opportunity details, deadlines, and agency context. |
| Public business contacts | Hunter and Twilio, when configured | Optional business-email enrichment and phone-type validation used in research and compliance workflows. |
| Usage, diagnostics, and security signals | Google Analytics, Sentry, and Upstash | Consent-based product analytics and privacy-masked replay, error investigation, rate limiting, and service protection. |
| Hosted application | DigitalOcean and Coolify | Application deployment, compute, network delivery, and operational hosting. |
Deletion and aggregate learning
Deleting an account removes or de-identifies account-linked application data according to GovSentry's deletion workflow. De-identified opportunity-outcome and public-win information may be retained so aggregate market analysis does not lose historical context. Security logs and backups expire on their normal schedules.
